Temporary

Temporary

Everything in life is temporary, including failure. It only becomes permanent when you allow to be true. Thinks about this:

-Every time it rains, it stops raining.

-Every time you get hurt, you heal.

-Every time darkness seems to prevail, don't forget the there is always light, and choose to believe that the night will last forever.

Nothing, but the mercies of God, will last forever.

So if things are good right now, enjoy it.  It won’t last forever. Job said at one of his bleakest moments:

Job 1:21 "Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord."

One minute you're on top of the world and the next you find yourself without anything. Most pastors are not prepared for the bad times, especially when things are going good. I spoke to a long term pastor recently who in over 30 years at one church went through about 15 different congregations. During his high moments things were great and God was good, but the secret to his success was the fact that when they were in the darkest, low moments, God was good as well. He didn't understand why some of the thing happened that took place, but he learned to believe that even if things are bad, don’t worry because God won’t let them last forever.

If life is hard for you at the moment cling to these things:

-Just because life isn’t easy at the moment, doesn’t mean you can’t laugh.

-Just because something is bothering you, doesn’t mean you can’t smile.

Every new moment God gives you a new beginning and a new ending.  You get a second chance, every second of the day.  You just have to take it and make the best of it. The bad times will end and the Son will rise with healing in His wings each and every time!
