Finish

A finisher is one who overcomes all that is necessary in order to finish the dream God has given. Jesus, John the Baptist, Paul, and the disciples are all finishers who overcame obstacles and challenges so that they could fulfill their God-given dream. Finishers come to a place of completion. They end the course successfully.

Seize the dream.
Grab it with purpose and intent. Determine to do what is needed to be done. The strength to “take hold” is in the power of God, not in the might of natural people. Taking hold does not mean superior skills or forces, but faith in what God has given you and obedience to what God has called you to do.

Take heart. Do not give up.
Grow stronger and stronger and face the challenge with an attitude to win and overcome. Multiple times in the Psalms, the author writes, “Wait on the Lord and be of good courage.” Speak to your heart. Strengthen it through hearing the voice of God. Have a holy stubbornness that refuses to listen to the enemy and chooses to strengthen its position against the enemy by fortifying itself in God.

Don’t fear and Don’t panic – God is in control.
The enemy will try to intimidate you and paralyze you with fear. Don’t be anxious or doubtful that God will not stay with you throughout your race. He has called you and He will faithfully lead you through all the challenges that will meet you as you pursue the God dream.
