Being You (Part 1)
Acts 20:24 "But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God."
When's the last time You were YOU? Not the person that copies everyone else or does what the crowd does just to fit in, but really became the you God made you to be. Here's some good advice that will help you become the best YOU you can be:
-Forget about what others are doing.
Stop looking at where they are and what they have. Nobody is doing better than you because nobody can do better than you. You are walking your own path and following the Lord's command. Paul said that his own life wasn't his own, but a testimony of the gospel of the grace of God.
-The reason we struggle with insecurity is because we compare our circumstances with everyone else’s highlight reel.
Quit listening to the noise of the world, instead of your heart. Stop the comparisons, ignore the distractions, and listen to your heart. Take care of your own business instead of comparing yourself with others. God never put you in a place that He will leave you unattended. If He put you there, He will bring you out. Job got twice as much when he quit his struggles and let God do the rest.
-Keep your best wishes and your biggest goals close to your heart and dedicate time to them every day.
Don’t be scared to walk alone, and don’t be scared to enjoy it. Don’t let anyone’s ignorance, drama, or negativity stop you from being the best you can be.
-Keep doing what you know in your heart is right, for YOU.
When you are focused on meaningful work and at peace within yourself, nothing can shake you. If God is on your side who can stand against you!
