Three Things

2 Timothy 2:7 HCSB “Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.”

There are 3 things in life that, once gone, will never come back.

-The first thing is time. You can never recapture a moment. Once it has passed it is gone forever.

-The second thing are words. The damage of hurtful words can never be repaired. They may be forgiven, but a scar will always remains from those words spoken in anger or out of bitterness.

-The third thing is opportunity. Often times we only get one chance at making things right. It is a moment in time that we are destined for and that only we can achieve.

There are also three things in life that can destroy a person in body, soul, and spirit.

-Anger will destroy intimacy and affection in the ones that love you most.
Proverbs 14:17 NIV “A quick-tempered man does foolish things…”

Proverbs 29:22, 23 NIV “An angry man stirs up dissension, and a hot-tempered one commits many sins.”

-Pride.
Proverbs “6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him, A proud look…”

1 Peter 5:5 “God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.”

-Un-forgiveness.

Bitterness like hatred, it can do more damage to the vessel in which it is stored than to the object on which it is poured) Unforgiveness closes the door of mercy upon yourself.

Three things in life that you should never lose:

-Hope, which is desire accompanied by expectation.
Colossians 1:23 "If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard..."

-Peace that is unlimited.
Philippians 4:6-8 "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

-Honesty and integrity.
Romans 12:17 "Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody."

1 Timothy 1:5-7 "
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;  Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

Three things in life that are most valuable.

-Love. Love is giving without expecting anything in return.
1 John 4:7, 8  "Beloved, let us love one another : for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."

-Your family and friends. Learn to serve them.

-Kindness. Practice being sympathetic and compassionate.

Three things in life that are never certain.

-Fortune.
Proverbs
23:5 "Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.

-Success.
Proverbs 27:1 "Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth."

Matthew 16:26 "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"

-Dreams. Don't just dream. By faith make it happen.
Proverbs 10:4 "
He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich."

Proverbs 22:29 "Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men."

Three things that truly make a person.

-Commitment.
-Sincerity.
-Hard work.

Three things that are truly constant.
-Father

-Son
-Holy Spirit
