Prayer for Your Children (Continued)


HOW TO PRAY WITH YOUR CHILDREN
1-With a meaningful expression.
a. An embrace.
b. A kiss- “Kiss me my son”-Genesis 27:26.
c. By holding or hugging them..
d. Anoint their head with oil and bless them-“By faith Jacob when he was dying blessed each of the sons of Joseph” -Hebrews 11:21.
e. Hold their hand(s) to remind them that Jesus never lets go.
2-Quote scriptures when praying with or over them- “A small rudder guides a huge ship, the tongue directs our life” James 3:3,4.
3. Pray a special blessing for them today and for their future.
4.Be the example of the One you pray to.

HOW TO CHANGE THEIR LIVES
1-Protect them from danger by prayer.
2-Add spiritual and physical joys by blessing them.
3-Reinforce your love with a meaningful hug or vocal expression.
4-Speak God’s Word over them audibly.
5-Value them as gifts from God .
6-Attach a special future for them.
7-Become active in seeking answers for your prayers over and for them.

C. HOW TO PRAY FOR YOUR CHILDREN
1- At the family table or altar, or prayer time.
2-Pray with them as they leave for school or a special place.
3.-Pray daily in your quiet time for them.
4- Keep a journal of requests and needs and a list of answered prayer.
5- Husband and wife share your prayer requests and answers with your children.
