The Repentance Draft

Is there unconfessed sin in your life? Wherever there is sin, there must be repentance,

1 John 1:8, 9 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

-Repentance is necessary for salvation, God made a special plan to enable the message of repentance to reach everyone. The call to repentance began in the New
Testament with the ministry of John the Baptist.

Mark 1:3, 4 "The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way the Lord, make His path straight.
John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins."

-Repentance was the first message Jesus preached.

Mark 1:14, 15 "Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the Gospel."

-Repentance was preached by believers in the early Church:
Mark 6:12 "And they went out and preached that men should repent."

Acts 20:21 "...Testifying both to the Jews and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."

Today, believers still have the responsibility to spread the message of repentance throughout the world. Jesus gave final instructions to His followers in Luke 24:47 that "repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."

When you preach the message of repentance, you are actually calling others to enlist in the army of God. Will you make a commitment to start drafting others into this great spiritual army?
