Breaking Chains (Part 4)

The process of getting free from worldly and fleshly strongholds involves a season of inner conflict and turmoil.  There is always a struggle involved in breaking down walls and chains. This conflict within your heart and mind is a good sign because it signifies the desire of your spirit to break free.  In this spiritual warfare you should expect a time where you must exercise your authority in Christ as you "resist" the devil.

1 Peter 5:9 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world."

The commands are simple and straight forward:

-Be prepared

-Know your enemy.

-Understand his determination to detour and devour you.

-Recognize that all people deal with strongholds and chains, even those who serve Jesus

As you continue to yield yourself to Christ, He will remove Satan's assault on your mind.  He will show you what you need to bring down. You will understand that the weapons of your warfare are mighty, to the pulling down of strongholds and be able to break free from your chains of bondage.

Here is what the Word of God says about it. Memorize these scriptures and use them as a shield against the attacks of the enemy:

John 8:36 "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."
Romans 6:18 "Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness."

Romans 8:2 "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."

Galatians 5:1 "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."

You are the only one that can deal with your strongholds and break your chains. I can't do it for you and neither can anyone else. It has to be a decision between you and God. You can be free-God wants it to be so-but do you want it?
