Just Don't

I met a gentleman earlier this week who told me he was ready to retire. He's got a good job, but he deals with the public everyday. The reason he told me for his retirement was that he was tired of dealing with people. He said, "There has to be more to living than just dealing with complaining people."

I must agree.

Life has a complete set of traumas, tragedies, aggravations and frustrations with which we have to cope. People are usually involved in each of them and may even be the cause of the situation.

-We don’t choose them.

-We can’t control them.

-They just happen, like it or not.

The last thing we need to do to ourselves is to pile on a bunch of self-inflicted angst or let others do the same. The end result is defeat and despair.

So if you’re letting complaining people cause you additional distress and frustration in your life, just don't! Realize that the ones who complain the most have as much baggage if not more in their past as you do. Just don't sweat it-God will bring you through.
