The More

-The more generous we are, the more joyous we become.

-The more cooperative we are, the more valuable we become.

-The more enthusiastic we are, the more productive we become.

-The more serving we are, the more prosperous we become.

-The more outgoing we are, the more helpful we become.

-The more curious we are, the more creative we become.

-The more patient we are, the more understanding we become.

-The more persistent we are, the more successful we become.

  1. How very social. Not enough to transform the heart but quite enough to get people humping toward good works that appear right. It is only after they wear themselves out that they look back and realize that the enthusiastic, outgoing, service falls curiously short of the patience of the saints who are persistently pursuing keeping the commandments of God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. All that productive prosperity and helpful creativity give an understandable success in the righteousness of this world but falls woefully short of the righteousness that is of God. We may as well take a happy pill and drift down the path to every man doing what is right in his own eyes. They both lead to the same place. As long as the church delivers the same message as the socialists there is no reason to bother with church, just keep sliding down that slippery slope smiling gayly as you go.
