A Season of prayer and fasting begins church-wide at DCOG on February 14, to seek God and believe Him for miracles in our lives. We would love for you to also join us as we gather together to pray for the needs of our city, nation, families, and homes.
During this season of prayer and fasting, we seek the Lord in these areas:
-Believing God for answered prayer for our specific needs.
-Declaring our dependence on God in every area of our lives.
-Asking for forgiveness for our sins and the sins of our land.
-Praying for the completion of the Great Commission.
-Inviting the Presence of God in our church and our lives.
-Crying out to God for revival in our generation.
Isaiah 64:7"There is no one who calls upon your name, who rouses himself to take hold of you."
Jeremiah 27:8 "If they are prophets, And if the word of the LORD is with them, then let them intercede with the LORD of hosts."
Ezekiel 22:30 "I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none."
Scripture teaches that we are to have a regular and consistent life of prayer.
Luke 18:1 "... men ought always to pray, and not to faint."
Luke 21:36 "Watch ye therefore, and pray always ..."
Acts 6:4 "But we will give ourselves continually to prayer ..."
Ephesians 6:18, 19 "Praying always ..."
Colossians 1:3 "... praying always for you."
Colossians 4:2 "Continue in prayer, and watch ..."
1 Thessalonians 1:2 "always"
Thessalonians 5:17 "without ceasing"
2 Timothy 1:3 "... without ceasing ..."
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33 KJV)
