One of the headlines today on the web is that an uncontacted Amazon tribe has apparently been killed or pushed away from their territory by drug dealers. This group represented about 2,000 people in a certain region of Peru that had very little contact if any with the outside world. The only thing they were familiar with were their own surroundings.
Wait a minute...................that sounds almost like the Church in 2011. She has been pushed back inside of her 4 walls by a society that doesn't want Jesus anymore. Her testimony has been killed by hypocritical testimonies, lack of holiness, and unsound doctrine. She has very little contact with the outside world that is dying in sin because she doesn't really want those kind of people to fill her pews. She is so familiar with her own surroundings that she doesn't even realize that without new blood she will be dead shortly.
If things don't change in a short period of time, she will no longer exist. the sad thing is very few people will even no about her death. There will be no obituary, there will be nor mourners, and very few tears will be shed. Just like the tribe in the Amazon, she will soon be forgotten.
Please folks don't let that happen! Somebody has to wake her up and remind her that the job isn't finished until the Master calls us home. Don't become the last Christian church to close.
