WALKING THROUGH FLOODS (Part 1)
When the presence of God is manifested in your life, you will not be afraid of what people say about you. You won’t worry about what the world says. People won’t be able to affect you, cut you down, or destroy you emotionally by their opinions, comments, or actions. Many of us pastors and former pastor suffer from our own PTSD and we need this word today.
Many believers are burdened down by guilt and condemnation over the past. The presence of God breaks these yokes of guilt and condemnation:
Romans 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
There is no condemnation when you are in Christ. It doesn’t exist when the presence of God rests upon you, because if God does not condemn you, then no one else can either; no man, no woman, denomination, or any demon from Hell! There is no condemnation, no intimidation, no fear!
God had declared this in His Word:
Isaiah 43:2 "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."
When God’s presence is with you, you may pass through deep waters, but you won't drown. You may be forced to walk into the fiery furnace, but you won’t be burned. You may be thrown into a lion’s den, but the animals will not harm you. They may prowl around, roar, and try to intimidate, but they can’t harm you.
When God’s presence is with you, like Elijah you will be able to face the false prophets of Baal and emerge victorious. You will be able to confront criticizing, backbiting, rebellious people. You will be able to courageously advance into enemy territory with authority because you know you cannot be defeated. God's presence will go with you.
You can march right in and rescue people from the very gates of Hell because you have the ultimate weapon: God’s divine presence! With God’s presence abiding in you, you can go through any flood, you can emerge unscathed from the fire, and you can endure any trial. You will not merely survive, you will come through victoriously because His presence is with you!
